Davonte Martin Wins Gates Millenium Scholarship
Posted by Chris Lehmann onCongratulations to Davonte Shahir Martin for being the 2nd recipient of the Bill Gates Millennium Scholarship at Science Leadership Academy. Gates Millennium Scholarship is granted to only 1,000 students across the country to further their education to the university of their choice.
The award is renewable for up to five years for an undergraduate degree in any discipline. Scholars who go on to pursue graduate degrees in computer science, education, engineering, library sciences, mathematics, public health, or science are eligible to receive continued funding.
Davonte will be attending Pennsylvania State University, main campus, and is interested in pursuing computer science and broadcasting majors. His interests are in film and media and he wishes to be part of executive media industry.
